Honolulu Celebrates 50 Yr Bond With Bruyeres, France
Two cities thousands of miles apart are forever joined together in history. It was during World War II when Bruyeres was freed from Nazi occupation by soldiers from the U.S. Army’s 100th Infantry Battalion/442nd Regimental Combat Team, many of whom were Americans of Japanese ancestry from Hawaii.
