These were some of the highlights at this year’s 29th annual Okinawan Festival at Kapiolani Park. What started as a one-day cultural event at McCoy Pavilion at Ala Moana Beach Park has become a two-day festival that attracts more than 50,000 people and involves more than 2,000 volunteers at Waikiki’s largest park.

Hawaiian raises interisland air luggage fee – Hawaii News Now – KGMB and KHNL Home
Beginning Sept. 1 Hawaiian Airlines will charge $17 instead of the previous $10 fee for the first piece of checked luggage on all interisland flights. Go! Airlines also raised their price to $15 from the previous $10 fee.
