Television Stations in Hawaii

Major Networks (free TV):

For a complete list of all the available lcoal and independent stations, see Hawaii Radio and TV Guide.

Most hotels and rentals and condos in Hawaii will offer some sort of cable like oceanic cable or satellite programming like Dish Network. All the regular American programs will normally be available on the network stations. Rarely, though, they will be preempted for island-specific programming like coverage of a Hawaii festival (example: Merrie Monarch) or event (example: college football).

For live events, remember that Hawaii does not practice daylight savings time, so when making adjustments for a parade or football game that says it will come on at 7 p.m. eastern time, that would be 1 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time during the summer and 2 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time during the winter.
